Ziricote is an exotic wood that is visually stricking and can be found from southern Florida thru the Caribbean islands but it is native to the Central American countries of Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico. It is a hard, dense wood, with a medium texture. Since ziricote is so dense it is difficult to stabilize, however it is easy to work with and turn!
Color ranges from reddish brown to light & dark brown with unusual black streaks running throughout the wood.
