Alaskan Spalted Birch - Cross Cut & Stabilized! 

These pieces of Alaskan Spalted Birch are all cross cut to enhance the beauty of the wood. The second image shows a finished Sierra Grip ballpoint pen. (see accessories) 

All of these pieces are oversized to a minimum of 7/8" x 7/8" x 5"

Note: When turning cross grain pen blanks, extra care is to be taken and use very sharp tools (carbide is recommended).  Do not be too aggressive when turning with these blanks!
