The 1/2" Barrel Trim is used to square up the ends of your pen blanks after you have glued the brass tubes inside. The tube guides and supports the long rod that you fit inside it because it allows you to cut away excess wood until you reach the end of the brass pen tube. The trimmers can be used in a drill press, hand drills, etc. Various shafts are available for all the different sized pen tubes. The two barrel trimmers (1/2” and 3/4”) and the different size pilot shafts are sold separately. Order by part number to avoid confusion.
