Tom Barron makes this Black Lava Swirl Alligator Jaw Bone pen blank especially for Arizona Silhouette. The Black Lava blank swirls black alumilite with gold flecks and then combines with the stabilized jaw bone to create this unique pen blank! He meticulously shapes each stabilized jaw bone and then using alumilite resin under extreme pressure casts each jaw bone into the works of art you see here. By using alumilite verses a polyester resin, it offers a more stable platform when interacting with the stabilized alligator jaw bone.
The small Alligator pen blank measures ¾” x ¾” x 4” while the larger blanks measure 13/16" x 13/16" x 5 1/4" suitable for the larger pens.
To apply a finish to these blanks, sand to 800 then using the Abralon pads, followed by wet sanding with the acrylic pads and finally buffing with the acrylic pen buffing system for a scratch free spectacular shine! (see accessories)
