Looking for a serious band saw?
Eagle Tools sells the world famous
Agazzani band saws. Built like an
M-1 Abrams tank, these mechanical works of art produce a cut that most
saws can dream about (if saws could dream!). As a proud owner of
an Agazzani B20 (equipped with a 1" carbide blade) I can personally
attest to the quality of the product as well as the sales and service
this company offers. No tool company does it better -
period.
Other major brand power tools are also available as well as blades and
accessories. I recently tried a 6 tooth per inch, 1" blade,
and it cut
just
about a smooth as a 1" carbide blade for a lot less money!
Give Jesse or Raul a call - these guys
know saws!

saw as delivered. It took me an hour just to remove the 'top'.

The Agazzani B-20

Woodturning by Jim Davies
www.jdscrafts.com
Another talented wood artist who
"thinks outside of the box". Handmade pens and pencils by turned from
exotic and domestic woods and other materials. Jim creates pens that
are creative and unusual as well as beautiful.
Vern and Kathryn DeSplinter
Pens By Design
Vern began turning pens about 4 years ago after
attending a woodworking show. He'd been giving away 50-75% of
his work until about a year or so ago when he did one of Ken
Nelsen's flag pens and someone offered him real money for it and so
he began selling his work.
Vern especially likes to make pens that will
become family heirlooms. Old wood from trees, rockers, floors,
tables, what ever a family has that has outgrown it's usefulness can
be made into really distinctive and beautiful pens the family can
enjoy for many years.
Have a special project in mind? Vern is the guy to talk to.
Roger Dismore
Pen Designs.com
Roger Dinsmore is a custom pen maker from Texas. Roger started making
pens ten years ago, and enjoys crafting his own custom shapes and
working with drawings sent to him by customers from all over the world.
Roger has some unusual "closed-end" turned pens with no external
hardware shown on his "gallery" page, and he has worked with all woods,
acrylics, celluloid's and deer antler.
Russ Fairfield
Wood Turner Russ Fairfield
Russ
is one of those guys that just makes you want to pull your hair out
because he makes it look so easy. He's "talked the talk" and "walked
the walk" and he knows what he is doing. An accomplished turner and
instructor, Russ continues to amaze the novice turner as well as the
advanced craftsman. He has produced two excellent videos on pen turning
and he was so impressed with my video that he fashioned his hair style
after mine! People think that we are brothers (just for the record he's the older one!).
Russ has created some beautiful pieces and some can be seen by visiting
his website. Take a moment to take the 'trip' and you will be
impressed.
J. Paul Fennell

Ben Freiberger
www.sierramadrepens.com
Ben spent twenty years as a talent agent in Hollywood. In order to
spend more time with his family, he gave up the fast paced life as a
talent agent and created what would become one of the top selling
software programs for talent agencies.
Two years ago, Ben moved his family 30 miles away to the small foothill
community of Sierra Madre, California. The basement of the new house
became the woodworking workshop he had always dreamed of. What started
as turning magic wands for his son’s Harry Potter eighth birthday party
has “turned” into a successful business making handcrafted wood pens and
bottle stoppers. His pens are available online and in several local
gift stores and pharmacies. Ben prides himself on his workmanship and
customer service.
Joe Giuliano
www.joeswoodstuff.com
Joe is originally from Brooklyn, NY but has made Charlotte, NC his
home since 1992. He started his woodworking hobby several years ago
and has now dedicated his two car garage to the craft. Joe turns
some fine pens and bottle stoppers in his spare time. If you visit
Joe’s site and purchase something as a gift, please be sure to let
him know how the gift is received! He finds no greater pleasure
than hearing that someone appreciated one of his handcrafted works
of art.
Jeff Jones
The
Wooden Pen Company
Jeff lives here in Yuma, AZ and has been turning pens
for a little over a year. A registered nurse by trade, Jeff's free
time is somewhat limited but what time he does have is put to good use
on a lathe. Now if he could only quit his golf 'habit' he would
have more time to devote to his turning.
Jeff has established a very interesting niche in the world of
pen making - pens made from wooded seats
salvaged from famous baseball stadiums.
Our local newspaper wrote an article about it and you can view
it by clicking
here .
Reed Kempton
Wood Crafts By Reed
Reed has been turning pens for the past couple of years
and he also makes some of the most beautiful candy dispensers from local

Emory McLaughlin
As The Wood Turns
Emory McLaughlin has been woodturning
since September 1998. A full-time, stay-at-home father of two, Emory
spends many evening hours in his workshop, perfecting his woodturning
skills. He attended the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts located in
Gatlinburg Tennessee on a scholarship in June 2000. He has recently
started showing his work in galleries and at craft shows. Emory has
chosen to be an artist because it allows him to be home with his
children. All Emory's pieces are hand turned on a wood lathe. He enjoys
this medium because he can start with a simple log and transform it into
a beautiful piece of art. He likes to allow the wood to decide the final
shape. The grain will many times dictate the final shape of the piece.
Most of the wood he uses is salvaged or storm damaged wood from several
sources. He prefers to use wood that is native to the South.
Scott Meyer
Only One
Creations
Scott has been a crafting hobbyist since childhood, creating from metal, wood, and plastic.
He tried pen making as a fun diversion from his real job as a computer network engineer
and that one-time diversion is now a vocation all its own.
Creating something that is beautiful, whether it be a pen,
a box, a piece of furniture, or something else, is a matter of pride. Seeing
friends sincerely impressed by the quality, look and feel of these fine
writing instruments is a source of immense satisfaction for him.
His reputation, craftsmanship, and pride are each
represented by the finished product. He is, therefore, very quality
conscious from start to finish, and is very selective about what is allowed to represent
himself. If he is not satisfied by a particular pen or pencil, it is remade.
Scott is very confident that you will be happy with the pen or pencil that is created for you.
He looks forward to providing you with something that you will cherish for years.
John Parker
www.shakeyjpens.com

important client etc…. and support Parkinson’s research at the same
time. The beautifully hand crafted pens, bottle stoppers and
turnings on this site are designed and created by John P. Parker, a

diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. A portion of proceeds will be
donated to Parkinson’s research.
John takes great pride in his turnings,
and produces a high quality and unique design in all of his work.
Paul Porter
Paul Porter Woodturning
Paul Porter is a guy who just loves
wood! Most of his pieces are created out of 'found' wood (wood
discovered in piles of firewood, cut & abandoned trees, etc.). His
style leans towards the traditional Indian forms that were originally
created in clay. Paul has an eye for detail, form and his work is
something to be admired. Take a moment to view some exceptional work
created by someone who truly appreciates the natural beauty in just
about any species of wood that you can imagine.

him for that and neither has my wife!
Tom turns a multitude of different objects and is very active on the

Tom probably has it.
Catherine Ross
Catherine's Website
Catherine Ross is a university professor in Texas who started collecting
fine, hand-crafted fountain pens when her students complained that they
couldn’t read her comments on their papers. The pens didn’t improve her
handwriting, but they did interest her in the craft of pen-making. Now,
she is turning pens as often as she can in the home workshop she shares
with her husband. Catherine uses the most colorful blanks and the best
fittings she can find, and she gladly takes custom orders. Visit her
website to see some of the pens and mechanical pencils she is making.

hobby. Owner/turner Anthony Turchetta has always had a passion for fine
pens and wood working. "When my sons bought me a lathe as a gift, I put
up my table saw and began an addiction for creating fine writing
instruments. My pen shop carries an inventory of about 800 fine pens.
About 2/3rds of the inventory is my own work (Penchetta) and I also
stock other fine pens from Delta, Nettuno, Lamy, Krone, Marlen and
others. Having a pen store in my office is a great way to break up the
days work. Please stop by and see us."
